To Mui and my dearest teammates,
It has been ten years since I first met u in tai tam. It’s been ten years since we have the first “battle” in the pool on others shoulders (even I was on your shoulders most of the time). It’s such a long way to go to come to this day. There’s so much, so much, so much work that you have done and we build it all up together. It has been our dream for such a long, long time, and half has reached, there’s half way to go. Are you getting off the train at this station? “It’s hard to bring us together, there’s no easy way.”. On the other way, I do believe, “There’s no way to break us as a team, we gonna fight together forever.”.
There’s been so many difficulties, so many hurdles that you’ve been thru. This time, you’ve got us, we stand side by side, we got your back. We can talk, we can share the loads that’s on your shoulder. If there’s a huge wall in front of u, we can make pass thru it together, if we can’t pass it, we break it into pieces with all means. What I’ve learn most from playing this game, from u, is, if there’s something you can’t do it now, don’t give up, give another go, work on it, till it’s done.
It’s not faith that brings all of us together, there’s no coincident; coincident is made up of many certainties; because you did not give up playing canoe polo, because u did not throw away your dream, because you did not corrupt yourself in canoe polo, because you believe what you believe from the beginning to nowadays, because we all love this game so much, and because we learn so much from the game and from u. Even though we are made to become a team, but without anyone of the certainties that mentioned, we would not stick together for such a long time. We were a team, we are a team, we will be a team.
We make our own luck.
Best,
Yuen
